Remember 'Two Stubborn Women'?

MD finish

These two stubborn women Jo Lord and Annie Day, both of Hay-on Wye, trained vigorously for some time preparing to run the gruelling `Marathon des Sables' in Morocco and so raise money for two charities Macmillan Cancer Support and North Weir Charitable Trust (NW Trust Hay). They completed the run successfully and thanks to the many generous folk who supported them both charities benefited considerably.
Trustees of the local charity NW Trust Hay wish to congratulate Annie and Jo on their great achievement and to thank them for the grand sum of *£4,954. 63 which they raised for this charity.
* Updated figure as at 4th July 2011
